Ruffle Series #4
Anticlastic shibuichi, a Japanese method of combining copper and silver, with patina,* 22mm round and 4mm strand freshwater keshi pearls, with argentium wire and sterling silver catch. Size: 1 3/4” x 2 1/2”
*The shibuichi has been treated to maintain it color.
My Ruffle Series is a study in anticlastic forming - shaping the metal in two directions at the same time, that creates flowing organic shapes. I then take these interesting forms and add gemstones and/or pearls, color, and other embellishments.
